Plympton Select Board Votes 2-1 to Hire Fennessey as Permanent Town Administrator

PLYMPTON — July 14, 2026 — Plympton Select Board votes 2-1 to offer permanent town administrator job to interim TA Robert Fennessey. Chair Nate Sides cast the lone dissenting vote, preferring finalist Christine DeMuranville for her financial background; members Dan Cadigan and John Smith cited Fennessey's experience with South Shore municipalities and months of on-the-job performance as interim. The appointment is contingent on successful contract negotiations.
