Plympton Select Board Receives Four Finalists for Permanent Town Administrator

PLYMPTON — June 29, 2026 — Plympton Select Board named four finalists for town administrator and raised ambulance rates by up to 43 percent at its June 29 meeting. Mark Lynch of Community Paradigm, the firm retained for the search, told the board that 30 people applied for the position, 18 with municipal experience, and that a seven-member screening committee conducted interviews over two evenings before recommending four finalists: Christine D. Moranville, treasurer-collector for the city of Taunton; Robert Fennessey, the current interim town administrator; Heather Hamilton, director of operations at Brookline Interactive Group and a former Brookline Select Board member; and Sydney Viveros, assistant town accountant for Lakeville. The board voted unanimously to adopt a new ambulance rate schedule proposed by Fire Chief Cheryl Duddy, raising the basic life support rate from $1,750 to $2,500, ALS level two from $2,900 to $3,900, and the mileage charge per loaded mile from $40 to $55 — the first rate increase in three years, aligned with recommendations from billing company Pro EMS. The board also extended Fennessey's interim contract through August 15 and deferred a vote on written designer selection procedures for a water supply project facing a hard December 31 ARPA funding deadline, with 19 firms already requesting the RFQ packet within days of its posting.
