Plympton Select Board Ratifies Robert Fennessey as Interim Town Administrator Through June

PLYMPTON — April 27, 2026 — Plympton Select Board unanimously seats Robert Fennessey as Interim Town Administrator through June 30. The board took two sequential votes Monday morning to ratify an April 21 executive session decision, specifying Fennessey's term as April 27 through June 30, 2026, with the possibility of renewal. Fennessey, an attorney, previously served as Town Administrator in Carver for three and a half years and completed a seven-month interim appointment in Halifax; he also served in Boylston and is a six-term selectman in his home town of Plainville. "I just love municipal government and working as governance of towns, and I'm so happy to be here for at least three months," Fennessey told the board. His immediate priorities include a May 7 public hearing on a gravel removal permit for SLT Construction, Annual Town Meeting at Dennett Elementary on May 13, and town elections on May 16.
