Plympton Planning Board Endorses Five-Acre Lot Split on Palmer Road

PLYMPTON — January 20, 2026 — Plympton Planning Board unanimously endorses a five-acre lot split from a 163-acre Palmer Road farm. Engineer Joe Webby of Webby Engineering presented the plan on behalf of landowner Scott Sarcha, who intends to build a personal residence on the new parcel while keeping the remaining acreage in Chapter 61A agricultural tax status. The proposed lot carries 348 feet of road frontage, meeting Plympton's minimum requirements and qualifying the division as approval not required under the Massachusetts Subdivision Control Law. In new business, a board member flagged a double access gate at a Route 58 solar installation that has stood open for more than a month, calling it "a violation of their site plan" and a potential electrical hazard; the issue will be addressed in a pending landscape-inspection letter to the site operator.
