Plympton Board of Health to Consider Revoking Septic Hauler's Operating Permit

PLYMPTON — April 14, 2026 — Plympton's Board of Health moved toward revoking a septic hauler's operating permit after Wind River repeatedly refused to correct inaccurate official state pump records at two properties. The board agreed to place revocation of Wind River's permit to pump septic systems in Plympton on the agenda for its next meeting, approximately two weeks away, after a board member said he left a message for company contact Eric Mueller the prior Wednesday and received no reply. Inaccurate records were submitted for 23 Prospect Street — where the company acknowledged hitting the wrong button but declined to issue a correction — and 268 Main Street, where property owner Mr. Lewis personally went to the company's office to explain that no leach field exists, and was also turned down. "The record they submit here is an official document of the state," a board member said. "If it is truly a fat-finger, wrong-button issue, it seems like an easy fix." The board also voted unanimously to approve a septic variance and upgrade plans for 16 Churchill Street, and adopted a kitchen use policy and potluck waiver for a town facility pending completion of a hot water heater electrical connection.
