Board of Health · Meeting of August 11, 2026

Plympton's Board of Health approved July minutes and tackled a growing backlog of septic and well-report disputes tied to one contractor. Health Agent Kevin Forgue and Administrative Assistant Cathy Ferguson flagged six properties, including 46 Main Street and the Upland Sportsman's Club, with inaccurate pump records from Wind River, and the board voted to invite a company representative to its September 8 meeting. Ferguson said "you certainly can submit" a Title 5 report as a pass even while a required water test is pending, clarifying a practice that had been delaying home sales.

Separately, Ferguson reported a $200,000 Rural Development Fund grant, awarded to engineering firm CDM Smith, will study the town's water security, with a report due by the end of April. Vice Chair Jared Anderson's draft nitrogen-loading regulations were tabled for further review, and the board learned DEP rejected a proposed bedroom-window-size rule as unlawfully less restrictive than state Title 5 standards.
