Plympton Zoning Board Unanimously Approves Indoor Children's Play Space Permit

PLYMPTON — October 15, 2025 — Plympton Zoning Board grants special permit for indoor children's play and event rental facility. The board voted unanimously 3-0 on October 15 to approve the application of Amber Bartlett, a business psychologist who also operates a dog daycare on Elm Street, to open an indoor play space featuring enclosed sandboxes, a rentable event area, and structured classes in leased commercial space in the town's business zone. The permit carries conditions including hours of operation from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., a maximum of three to four employees, use of indoor-grade silica-free sand, commercial liability insurance, and a prohibition on employing anyone with criminal convictions involving children. No abutters appeared or submitted objections. The formal written decision is expected after a follow-up board session on October 22, after which the town clerk will mail the permit to Bartlett, who may open immediately upon receipt.
