The board also raised concerns about the accuracy of pump records submitted by Wind River, the town's contracted septic pumper: a record for 26 Upland Road flagged "a safety concern on site that needs immediate follow-up," corporate staff described photographs showing a damaged cover, but the local office later claimed the technician had made a mistake. The board directed a member to inspect the property and said it would file a complaint with the state licensing board if confirmed problems at two sites were found to have been mischaracterized as errors. The Massachusetts DEP also issued a conditional approval for new source wells at the town's Palmer Road campus, closing out roughly three years of permitting work.
