PLYMPTON — November 19, 2025 — Plympton Zoning Board advances 40B duplex hearing to December after traffic study cleared but groundwater questions unresolved. The board heard its first full traffic study presentation from Derek Roach of Vanasse Associates at the November 19 session, covering a proposed duplex development off Ricketts Pond Drive; Roach said all 15 peer-review comments were resolved and projected peak-hour impacts of just 26 to 32 additional trips. Board of Health Vice Chair Jared Anderson and member Brad Cronin challenged the applicant on unpermitted earth removal activity and a septic design they say does not meet Plympton's more stringent groundwater bylaws, with Anderson stating flatly, "we only have your word that it's clean." Town counsel clarified that the Zoning Board of Appeals issues all local permits under 40B, including well authorizations, and the board approved $9,295 in outstanding peer-review invoices and a $5,000 deposit to replenish the 53G escrow account. Next hearings are set for December 10 and December 17, both at 6:30 p.m., with a non-deliberative site visit scheduled for December 6 at 10 a.m.
