Plympton Zoning Board Continues Ricketts Pond 40B Hearing to December 17
PLYMPTON — December 10, 2025 — Plympton's Zoning Board of Appeals adjourned in under ten minutes Wednesday, continuing a Chapter 40B comprehensive permit hearing for a Ricketts Pond Drive development to December 17 at 6:30 p.m. The board, sitting with only two of its three regular members after member Mr. Kowalski withdrew due to a family tragedy, took no substantive action on the application. The chair explained that the applicant's recent submission of a hydrogeology study requires independent peer review before deliberations can advance, and the board is currently soliciting peer-review proposals. The applicant has agreed to extend the statutory decision deadline to approximately February 11 or 12, giving the board room to complete the review. The December 17 session is expected to include signing the peer-review contract, formally adopting the extension, and appointing a third voting member from among two available alternates — identified only as Dave and Alan — to replace Kowalski for the remainder of the hearing.
