Linda Hardew of 30 Cross Street received unanimous approval to keep five dogs on her multi-acre property as a personal, non-commercial kennel after Animal Control Officer Brian Flynn inspected the facility and raised no objections. Michael O'Neill of 1 Baguera Way — a parcel straddling the Plympton-Kingston town line — received unanimous approval for a variance to build a roughly 30-by-36-foot garage approximately 75 feet from the nearest property line rather than the required 100 feet, with the board finding hardship based on a pre-existing commercial kennel building that physically prevents a compliant placement. The board scheduled a sign-off meeting for Wednesday, September 17, at 6:30 p.m. to execute the written decisions; a 20-day appeal period follows before either approval is final.
