Plympton ZBA Sets October 8 Hearing for 60-Unit Ricketts Pond 40B Project

PLYMPTON — August 27, 2025 — Plympton's Zoning Board of Appeals advances review of a proposed 60-unit duplex development under Chapter 40B, setting an October 8 hearing. The board heard a full civil engineering presentation from Eric Schumacher of McKenzie Engineering on the 24.4-acre Ricketts Pond parcel, which would place 30 duplex buildings — all on the Plympton side of the Carver-Plympton town line — on 25 lots ranging from 15,000 to 50,350 square feet, accessible from Ricketts Pond Drive in Carver. Stormwater peer reviewer Gregory Driscoll of J.D. Civil has submitted a nine-page comment letter dated August 20; the applicant expects to file revised plans in response within weeks. A traffic impact study, essentially complete but not yet formally submitted, will be forwarded to a second peer reviewer and heard at the October 8 session alongside the stormwater response. Board counsel confirmed the hearing deadline is November 24, 2025. The board also voted unanimously to approve a separate written decision in the JSC Holdings application at the start of the meeting.
